6 months of Brodey pictures

I finally got around to uploading the pictures from Brodey's camera.. there are almost 400!! (no less than 75 of the ceiling fan in his room) So fun to look through... I guess the last time I uploaded them was around Christmas! Some of these things I don't have any idea when they happened... but are fun to document anyway.
Here we have Lyndsay playing puzzles with Lyla.

Gramma Hat visited last month and Brodey got some fun shots of her playing with Cooper and Brock.
We love crazy Gramma Hat

Here's me and Lyla snuggling in Brock's bed before nap time one afternoon.
And me snuggling Brock on the floor after a fall...

Maddy came for playgroup... Brock took like 47 pictures of her. He loves her.

Another Graduation!

My dad earned his Bachelor's Degree from Shorter College this year and we got to see him graduate Cum Laude in Rome, GA Saturday afternoon.
It was an eventful day, as all days are when we Culp's go out in public. It started in the parking lot as we were all rushing to get into the building. Brodey accidentally tripped up Cooper who went flying onto his forehead, feet going over his head... in front of the all the graduates none-the-less. Then in the middle of the ceremony I went to pass Lyla over Myles to Lyndsay when we noticed the poo-poo all the way up the back of her dress. Lyndsay and I rushed her to the bathroom to try and clean her up with NO CHANGING TABLE and ended up running back out there with Lyla in a diaper wrapped in Cooper's blue blanket to watch dad get his diploma. (no worries... she had her back-up outfit on shortly there after.) AND THEN we went back to mom and dad's for his celebration dinner and Brock (who has apparently forgotten how to swallow) gagged on his dinner and ended up throwing up all over himself and all over me. So in just a few short hours we bled, we poo-pooed AND we vomited.
Congratulations dad! We are very proud of you!! Sorry we caused such a ruckus!

Memories

I was almost 5 years old when my brother was born. I only remember two things from that day... there was a lady I didn't know sleeping on the couch when Lyndsay and I got up that morning... and our dad took us to Taco Bell and accidentally locked the keys in the car. I don't remember anything about the hospital.

Last week I was giving Brodey a bath and out of the blue he says, "Remember when Lyla came out of your belly and we went to the hos-ti-bul?" Yes Brodey. "And Winsey (Lyndsay) brought me and Brock to the hos-ti-bul?" Yes Brodey. "Windsey had a lot of toys and a lot of trash in her car. But no dirt and no ants."

I wonder if that's all he's going to remember about the day his sister was born???

Your what will get wet?

This is something that happened Tuesday night... but I've been trying to figure out if I should be more embarrassed about it than I am and not tell people. Unfortunately I do not embarrass easily enough...

We were at a friends house for dinner... Brodey had to use the restroom so I took him in there. Set him up on the potty (we aren't ready for standing.. trust me) and he leaned way back, so I'm like "Brodey, don't do that.. you're gonna get wet." He looks up at me, as serious as his face can get, and says "I'll get my ass wet mom? My ass will get wet like at Wyndsay's house?" I would like to state right now that I have never said that word to him. I have always said hiney. And I think Jeff's says booty. It feels weird for me to even say "butt" to him!

Back to "Wyndsay"... that's my sister (Lyndsay), Brodey just so happens to have been at her house Saturday night and she just so happened to take him to the bathroom that night. She claims to have said no such thing... sounds suspicious though doesn't it?? It's like Brodey telling me daddy lets the dog inside when I'm not here. Nothing gets past momma... he keeps no secrets from me! Let there be a lesson in that.

In case you were wondering.... no, I did not keep a straight face and tell him not to say ass. Tell me, could you have done it?
