Preschool Graduation

Jeff went into work late on Friday so we could all go to Brodey's graduation. We have had such a fun experience with this Preschool... so sad it's already over. Brodey always looks so big to me at home, but standing up on stage with all his little friends and singing all their cute little songs he seemed so so little. We love him so much and I'm sad this marks the end of him spending most of his time at home with me. Graduation ended with them singing 'Kindergarten here we come" about learning all their ABC's, 123's, xyz's and then they all yelled "WE ARE READY!!". Little too much for me to take... I had only cried a little up until that point. ooh, it makes me cry even writing about it almost two weeks later!
All the graduates....
Lucy couldn't believe Brodey is now a graduate!
Brock and Lyla loved all the songs and did really well sitting still, waving and clapping.
After all the singing, we picked him up in his classroom, thanked his fabulous teachers, and headed upstairs for the cake and lemonade reception.
it's heartbreaking how grown up he is!
How cute is he???!!
Brock was soooo excited about Herbie parked outside.. if you know Brock you know this was the most exciting thing that has ever happened to him!
We are so proud of you Brodey!!

Play Day

This is Brodey's very last week of Preschool. I'm not ready. That's a different story.
Today they had "Play Day"... all the families spent the day at the school playing games with our big preschoolers. They had jumpies, popcorn and lots of games set up in the parking lot. After all the games we had a picnic on the lawn. The kids had a BLAST.
Lucy hung out in the shade of her stroller... it was HOT out there today.

Preschool Mothers Day Lunch

Brodey invited me to his school today for a Mother's Day lunch. He even picked out this special outfit for him to wear...
He reminded me a few time in the car to wear a dress when I came. I think he was nervous since I was dropping him off in my pajamas.
When I got there he pulled out my chair for me. Then he said, "mommy, would you like water or lemonade?" And then I almost cried because he is SUCH a nice little boy. So proud of him.
This is the gift he made for me... again, almost cried. I think I'm too emotional for him to be growing up so fast.
He was very proud of his work..
After we ate we played a little game, us mom's had to guess which piece of artwork was our child's. They said "My mom is special because...." and the kids answered. I knew right away which one was Brodey's. Some of them said their mom's were special because they were "cute" or "pretty" or "gave a lot of hugs"... Brodey's said: My mom is special because she plays Connect Four with me. :)

Then we came home and he made me a special mother's day chocolate cake! Love him.
I am such a proud momma!

Preschool Easter Party...

Me and the younger two went up to Brodey's school yesterday for the Easter Party. We had lunch in his class and then played on the playground with all of Brodey's friends. Brock, of course, thought this was awesome. He ran around the playground calling all of them by name... it was funny to watch!

100th day of School

Thursday was the "100th day of School" (something I had never heard of... this school really likes to celebrate!), so the teachers planned a morning of fun for the kids and their parents. We got there at 9 and did four crafts together...
(Brodey loves crafts... works very hard on them. Another mom stopped me and said she had been in earlier in the week observing the class and and was "so impressed" with Brodey. Mommies like to hear that kind of thing.) :)
These are Brodey's best buds from school.. Joey, Harrison and Hudson. They aren't in the same class this year but they still get to play on the playground together. Their teacher told me that Brodey is so well liked in her class that she even went to the director to see if she could move him into her room! He's happy where he is though, so they kept him where he is.
There are 11 kids in Brodey's class...
After crafts we went outside to let 100 balloons go celebrating being 100 days smarter

THEN, we went back inside for pizza and cake! (this school really likes to party!)
I had a fun morning with Brodey and was so glad I was able to stay the whole time with him!

Donuts with Dad

One of the MANY things I love about Brodey's preschool is how they give us parents so many ways to participate and celebrate at school. Today was Donuts with Dad.. Brodey has been counting down the days for weeks. He kept telling me, "I think my friends are REALLY going to like my daddy!!" I thought so to.
Here's a picture of my boys before school...
This is the card Brodey had waiting for daddy at school:

The inside: (and Jeff is not 30 btw... he's 37. I don't know why he keeps guess me to be so much older than I am and Jeff to be so much younger!)
The Valentine's Day card they made me. (Brodey made Jeff promise he would hide it in his truck so they could give it to me together when he got home from school... so cute.)

The back: (those are fireworks.. Brodey thought them up on his own... I love my creative boy!!)

Preschool Christmas Party

Preschool Christmas party... always fun. This one was even more exciting because Daddy got to come! That's him in the upper right hand corner with Brock hanging on his leg.
It was raining (pouring rain) this day.. always fun when you are trying to get two kids, one stroller, two teacher gifts and a diaper bag into a building without cussing at someone. Which I probably did. Never have I been more happy to see Jeff when we got there!

Preschool Christmas Program

Lyla, patiently waiting for the show to start
My little angel: top row, second from left. He was so far back I had to take his picture every time his little face came on the big screen.
Sitting with the girls. Doesn't he look excited???! He did really well singing, but we could tell he was concerned that he couldn't see us out in the audience.

To clear up the confusion I marched myself right down to the front and yelled his name right in the middle of the program... he was very happy to see me!
After the program we went back to Brodey's classroom for "refreshments". Brock, of course, had to sit at the table with Brodey.
