Just playing outside

Lyla loooooooves to swing. And she loooooves for anyone to watch her. She'll say "watch this! watch this!!" over and over.
Jeff always has tons of work scraps to burn... this is what the boys and daddy do at least once a week.

Annual Christmas tree chopping

Every year that we have chopped down a Christmas tree at Coker Tree Farm we have had a none walking baby. The first year I carried Brock the whole time (and also the second time since he didn't walk until almost 19 months old!), then Lyla and this year Lucy. (this year we were smart and brought a stroller so we could spend more time searching for the PERFECT tree) The weather was beautiful so we took our time and had fun playing in the tree lot.

Little diva

Lyla hitched a ride with Lucy

I love this picture with no one paying attention and little Lucy all bent in half. Reality.

Somehow Brock always ends up carrying the saw. And yes.. he ended up cutting his finger before we left.

Brock "helping"

Brodey and Brock did 90% of the decorating by themselves this year. I thought it turned out pretty good! (about 1/2 way in the photo)

Fun fun family tradition

Thanksgiving 2010

Lucy Rae's very first Thanksgiving and I didn't get a SINGLE picture of her! I'm so disappointed! Especially since we are SO VERY thankful for her. I guess we didn't get any pictures because we were too busy snuggling and loving her. :)

These guys made and amazing turkey! (and a big mess)
After lunch I got to ride Myles' minibike (after some begging.. he wasn't very confident in my abilities.. and still won't tell me how to get out of first gear.)
The boys had a great time playing with Cooper

We also made these cute little apple turkeys my friend Aimee posted about here. (and while you are over there, check out her gingerbread houses! So cute.)

Beans did her usual... rotating back and forth between Kali and Lyndsay all afternoon... they spoil her rotten and she loves it (and them).

Oh boys

When I found them like this I had every intention to punish them for getting SOOOO muddy and RUINING their shirts (washed them 3 times.. then gave up and threw them away).. but then I accidentally laughed. Might as well take pictures after that.
Side note: We don't have a big mud hole in our yard... they MADE one by pulling up some grass. Seriously.

Preschool/Kindergarten Thanksgiving

Brodey's class did a little play this year.. He was an Indian. It was awesome! He makes such a cute little Indian. After the performance we had a FEAST! We got to sit together as a family at a big round table with little things on it that Brodey had made. Jeff was able to make it... which was nice since Brock's Thanksgiving party was also that day at the very same time. We got quite the workout running back and forth with the girls!

After 2 years of going to Brodey's preschool parties Brocky was sooo excited to have a party with his little friends. It was fun to meet the other parents... one mom told me her little girl says every morning when she's dropping her off "I get to see Brock today!". Ha! Little ladies man.
After Brock's feast they sang a song, did a science experiment and a craft.

Burts and Hillcrest! FINALLY!

My MOST favorite thing to do in the fall is go up to Burt's pumpkin patch and Hillcrest Orchards. The drive is BEAUTIFUL and the kids LOVE it!
We had our trip on the calendar twice in October and had to reschedule both times. Sad we didn't make it before Halloween.. but turns out they still have pumpkins up there in November AND you don't have to deal with the crowds!
We got kind of a late start but made it up there just in time for a yummy (and fun!) buffet lunch at the Lodge at Amicalola Falls. Unfortunately Lucy had an extreme diaper disaster in the car and I had to change her into the only backup outfit I could find.. a blue fleece jumper! (Thanks Ann!) So she looked like a boy for the rest of the day.. but she was warm!

Brock didn't take this hat off one time the whole day. He loves it. (thanks Lyndsay!)

Not as many pumpkins this late in the season.. but again, soooo nice to miss the crowds. The kids were able to run around and play with out me freaking out about not being able to see them. :)

Hayride with only a few other families equals being able to stretch out!
After Burt's we headed down the road to Hillcrest Orchards
In the 10 minutes it took us to get there it felt like the temperature dropped 20 degrees. According to the dash board it was 43 degrees outside!
Lucy loved snuggling up in the cold!

The boys went into the petting zoo by themselves this year. We watched and laughed from behind the fence as they ran screaming from all the chickens.

It was a really fun day! Jeff said he likes it better in the cold. I'm up in the air about that... :)
