Bye Daddy...

This is how Brock says good-bye... he waves and says "Bye" and when you say it back he makes a fist with his hand. This means he wants to give you "knuckles". Or extreme knuckles in his case... look at that wind-up!

Christmas 2007

We had a great Christmas! The boys loved spending time with their "Big Grandpa" (great-grandfather) and playing with their cousin Cooper. The very best gift I got was from Brock.... he walked. A lot. I'm so proud of him... I think he had been practicing in private so he could surprise us on Christmas. ;) A few of my favorite pictures...

Locks of Love

Last night I went in for a hair cut. A trim, to be more specific. After some persuading from my stylist (also my good friend.. the only reason she gets away with this) I ended up getting 10 inches cut off to donate to Locks of Love... an organization that makes hair pieces for disadvantaged children with illnesses that cause them to lose their hair, like cancer. I'm glad we did it and I love my new short hair! Here's a before picture... Myles and I washing dishes Christmas Eve. And after pictures I took of myself while on the phone with my sister this morning.

Getting Ready for Christmas

MOPS Christmas party... the babies came in to sing jingle bells. That's Brodey standing by the snack table... he helped himself during the second verse. I was not surprised by this.

Your what will get wet?

This is something that happened Tuesday night... but I've been trying to figure out if I should be more embarrassed about it than I am and not tell people. Unfortunately I do not embarrass easily enough...

We were at a friends house for dinner... Brodey had to use the restroom so I took him in there. Set him up on the potty (we aren't ready for standing.. trust me) and he leaned way back, so I'm like "Brodey, don't do that.. you're gonna get wet." He looks up at me, as serious as his face can get, and says "I'll get my ass wet mom? My ass will get wet like at Wyndsay's house?" I would like to state right now that I have never said that word to him. I have always said hiney. And I think Jeff's says booty. It feels weird for me to even say "butt" to him!

Back to "Wyndsay"... that's my sister (Lyndsay), Brodey just so happens to have been at her house Saturday night and she just so happened to take him to the bathroom that night. She claims to have said no such thing... sounds suspicious though doesn't it?? It's like Brodey telling me daddy lets the dog inside when I'm not here. Nothing gets past momma... he keeps no secrets from me! Let there be a lesson in that.

In case you were wondering.... no, I did not keep a straight face and tell him not to say ass. Tell me, could you have done it?

Closet Walker

Brock is almost 18 months old. We were starting to be concerned that he's not walking yet... turns out he can walk. He's just secret about it. On two different occasions Jeff and I have walked into a room to see him walking... as soon as he sees us he sits down and goes back to crawling. One would think it's because he just likes to be held... not the case. He does not like to be held at all.. he likes to crawl. If there was a crawling race in the Olympics, Brock Culp would bring home the gold medal every time. Sneaky sneaky Brock.... we're on to you mister.
