Things to be thankful for...

We Culp's have LOTS to be thankful for this year.... these three beauties top the list:

Preschool Thanksgiving

Time for the preschool parties!! Brock's favorite!! I'm so glad Brodey gets so excited to see BOTH his brother and sister with me when we come to his school. I considered not bringing them... but they have so much fun and it makes Brodey happy... so it works out for everyone!
I might be a little bit obsessed with making coordinating holiday outfits for my children.

Halloween Re-do

These would have been better if it wasn't raining and we could go outside for pictures... but you get the idea!
All three... so much for "everyone look at the camera and smile!" haha! Is that even possible with three kids??
We lost the wings to Brodey's dragon costume. What can I say, Halloween was almost a month ago!

Happy Halloween! Again!

Fantastic Diaper

Target brand diapers (don't know what they are called, but they are in a yellow box) are FANTASTIC! And almost $6 a box cheaper than Huggies. Not only are they soft and hold everything in... they are soo cute with blue and green polka dots! Thank you so much, Ann Carr, for introducing me and target brand... we are in love. Now if only I could get that $6 a box over the last FIVE YEARS of my diaper changing career back....

5 Year Well Check.

WOW. Not fun. I remember when I took Brodey to his 2 month well check for his first round of shots... I thought it was the worst thing ever. The nurse told me then, "if you think this is bad... wait until he's five.. way worse." I didn't believe her then, but she was absolutely right. He handled the 3 shots and finger prick at his four year well check like a champ so I thought we were good to go for this year. Not the case. He seems to have developed a fear of needles sometime between this year and last. He did SO GREAT the whole appointment, doing everything the doctor asked him too... knew his opposites, wrote his name, drew a picture, passed the eye exam with 20/30 vision in both eyes... then the nurse came in with the shots. I had to hold him down (and we're not talking about simply holding his hands back, I practically had to lay on him) while he SCREAMED (so much so that Brock and Lyla got scared and started screaming too) and thrashed around. Wow. It was so exhausting I had to sit down afterward. The nurse says to me: "it's okay mom! Just think, you only have to go through this three more times!" Yikes. I think we'll be bringing daddy to five year well checks from now on.
Anyhow... Brodey weighs 40 lbs (50th percentile... only a three pound gain from last year.. which she said is absolutely perfect.) and he is 43 inches tall (50th percentile again).

Halloween 2009

Halloween was icky and rainy this year.. but we still had loads of fun! We had dinner with good friends and then took the little ones trick-or-treating in the rain. UNFORTUNATELY the battery in my camera died after taking just a few pictures. No worries though.. I plan on re-dressing them up and taking some photos whenever we kick the nasty sickness in our house!

here are the kids getting ready... that dragon is Brodey.
Brock, the watermellon.

And Lyla the fairy. Poor baby... I think she was confused about why we were dragging her around in the cold rain. I think she had more fun playing in the Reavis' nice warm house!
