Playing Outside

Daddy thinks this is just WAYYY to much skin showing.. but I think she's cute.
Brock was telling me he wanted to go to the beach (several people we know are at the beach this week for Spring break) and I said we can't.. we have to wait for the baby to come out. So he starts telling me to hurry up and push it out already. He got so mad he stormed back in the house... so happy I caught it on video!

Easter 2010

We had an extra Easter basket ready just in case number 4 felt like coming early. No such luck... 39 weeks 6 days pregnant. fun.
Lyla was the first one up Easter morning...
She loved the My Little Pony's the Easter bunny left for her
Next out of bed was Brock..

And finally Brodey joined us (it was after 8:30.. sleepy head)
After naps we headed to the Grandparents for dinner. And we got to witness Uncle Myles make his dirt bike a little more "special" with this cooler, a cup holder and a bike horn.
Lyla just didn't know what to think about that.
The Easter bunny brought the kids silly string... they used it on Uncle Myles

Cooper... winding down from all the fun
Lyla ended the day with a little snuggle with her Uncle.

Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday morning we headed out to our Church Easter Egg Hunt. This year they had 40,000 eggs! The kids also had a fun time playing on the jumpies and in the petting zoo. It was a fun morning/afternoon!

Lyla, Maddy and Ava

Luke, Brodey (looking oh so excited to be sitting with all the babies), Lyla, Maddy, Ava, Caleb and Brock

Jeff caught this picture of our Pastor and Lyla... he carried her around for while... she LOVES him.
After the egg hunt we came home and helped daddy assemble our new (to us!) play set!

This video is for Luke's mommy... he is sooooo hilarious. So wish I would have taken the time to focus my camera before I shot this, but it's still so cute. The boy likes to dance!

Spring

The kids and I had a fun day at the park the other day. Daddy was working, but knew where we were and surprised us with ice cream!

I couldn't talk Brock out of these old man socks... there's only so much I can do.

Lyla is completely able to go down a slide on her own... but with these protective brothers around, she doesn't get the opportunity very often.
I don't know what Brock thought he was accomplishing holding her face like this...

Preschool Easter Party...

Me and the younger two went up to Brodey's school yesterday for the Easter Party. We had lunch in his class and then played on the playground with all of Brodey's friends. Brock, of course, thought this was awesome. He ran around the playground calling all of them by name... it was funny to watch!
The sibling table

"Mom... plllllease take this tie off me...."

Easter Eggs!

We almost forgot to color Easter Eggs this year! We have been so busy getting everyone's dentist, doctor, ophthalmologist, teacher conferences, and OB appointments in getting ready for baby. It's hard enough toting 3 kids around for that... can't imagine it will be easier with 4!
ANYHOW.. this was late one night... past bedtime, which makes everything exciting for sure. We had nine eggs in the house.. so that's how many we colored! Luckily the neighbor had some vinegar for us to borrow, cause we didn't have any of that either. Brodey worked it out perfectly... 5 for him because he's 5
3 for Brock because he's 3
and 1 for Lyla because she is 1
Smart boy.

Lyla was so tired she looked like she might fall asleep at any moment. (with dinner still stuck to her face)
Daddy tried to get her more excited... but she was just too tired for smiles

18 month well check...

Better late than never! Lyla's 18 month well check was a few weeks ago... but I just came across these pictures and remembered!

Brock... always fun
She was a trooper for her shots and did very well stacking blocks, playing tea party and coloring with the Doctor. She is a tiny little 31.5 inches (40th %tile) and 23 lbs (45th %tile). She doesn't do a lot of talking yet... words we do hear a lot are "momma, doggy, brocky and pppplllleaseee".
