Preschool Mothers Day Lunch

Brodey invited me to his school today for a Mother's Day lunch. He even picked out this special outfit for him to wear...

He reminded me a few time in the car to wear a dress when I came. I think he was nervous since I was dropping him off in my pajamas.
When I got there he pulled out my chair for me. Then he said, "mommy, would you like water or lemonade?" And then I almost cried because he is SUCH a nice little boy. So proud of him.

This is the gift he made for me... again, almost cried. I think I'm too emotional for him to be growing up so fast.

After we ate we played a little game, us mom's had to guess which piece of artwork was our child's. They said "My mom is special because...." and the kids answered. I knew right away which one was Brodey's. Some of them said their mom's were special because they were "cute" or "pretty" or "gave a lot of hugs"... Brodey's said: My mom is special because she plays Connect Four with me. :)

Then we came home and he made me a special mother's day chocolate cake! Love him.

I am such a proud momma!

Lovin the backyard

The weather has been sooo nice so we've been eating on the deck and playing in the backyard every night. FUN times.
Brock normally has clothes on when we get outside.. but often changes into this very unusual character when no one is looking...
Goggles and underwear. What more do you need?? Then he'll say, with his hands on his hips, "you wanna piece of ME??"

Where is Lucy during all this fun??? Getting some love from daddy.. of course!

2 week well check, stomach bug, "newborn" photos

I'm so behind!!
Lucy weighed 9 lbs 9 oz at her two week well check, has DOUBLE blocked tear ducts (so sad) AND had a terrible stomach bug that the other three had. Sad sad sad to see a newborn baby with a stomach bug. It lasted about 4 days and we are HAPPY to be past it.
On to fun things... I knitted a hat for a photographer friend of mine over the winter and as a "thank you" she took some photographs of Lucy. I soooo got the better end of that deal!
Anyhow... Lucy is growing so fast! We had to wait until after she was over the stomach bug, so she is almost 3 weeks old in these pictures. She was already almost too big for some of her newborn "props"! These are a few of my favs...

Lyla was supposed to be in the other room waiting with Brock, but she came running in and hopped in this one... so glad my friend was super fast and caught this... she's sooo sweet to her sister!

Lucy goes to Church and hanging out with friends

Yesterday we were able to take Lucy to Church for the first time... she looked so pretty I had to take a picture.... kinda wishing I had put her in better lighting... still she's sooo pretty! :)

That afternoon some friends came over... us moms went out for pedicures and the daddies watched 6 kids by themselves! Impressive.

TWO girls in the tub!

Jeff took the boys to the circus last week so it was just me and the girls... how much do I love it!!??? Jeff with the boys... me with the girls... SO FUN! The sisters had their first of MANY baths together. Lyla loved having her Lucy in the tub with her.

I got Lucy out first and had her on the changing table (sooo convenient to have her room right there!) when I heard a loud thud behind me... Lyla had fallen out of the tub and landed like a little frog on the floor.. she wasn't hurt, just giggling that she was able to get out on her own. Silly girl. Then she ran around naked while I finished dressing Lucy. I debated posting this photo.. but it was just soooo cute.
