1st day of Pre-K BROCK

Brocky's first ever day of preschool coincided with Lyla's eye surgery... I was SOOO bummed that I didn't get to take him, but Jeff did a great job taking LOTS of pictures for me!
This is what he looked like when Lyla, Lucy and I were walking out the door at 6:30am....

He is measuring a good 3ft 5

Preschool isn't going to know what hit them

Such a big boy!

Jeff said Brock was thrilled all morning about school and marched right in and got to work. No looking back. He's a big boy. When did that happen??
Luckily I made it back in time to pick him up from his first day and he was all smiles. He looked so little standing out there for car pool pick up!

First day of Kindergarten

Kindergarten. I can't hardly believe it. Luckily we were able to keep Brodey at the school he's been going to for preschool, so the transition hasn't really been too hard. It's only half day.. which I LOOOOVEEE. Brodey, of course, thinks it's fantastic and has been counting down the days until school starts for weeks. Should I be worried about how excited our kids get about spending hours and hours away from me??
Anyhow... here's how the day went.. in pictures...

He measured 3 ft 10 inches on his first day of KG
Brock absolutely could not believe we wouldn't let him hold Lucy for the picture. While sitting on brick steps. Over concrete. Sorry Brock.

At meet and greet Brodey's teacher invited them all to bring their favorite teddy bear on the first day of school. Brodey woke up EXTRA early to stuff his big bear in his bag. ("Big Bear" is his name)

He moved his name under "yes", then sat down at the table in front of his name.. and we left. No tears. Just big smiles. We have a kindergartner.

Preschool Meet and Greet

Today was a big day.. Brock got to meet his preschool teacher, Ms Angie! We are so excited about Ms Angie because she was Brodey's first Preschool teacher too! Brock has been so excited about school and has been counting down the days for weeks. Here he is waiting outside his classroom.

Ms Angie is a FANTASTIC teacher.. we are so glad Brock will be in her class this year.
After Brock's meet and greet we walked down the hallway to meet Brodey's Kindergarten teacher. We were a little early so we stopped and took a few pictures in front of the fountain. This first picture is of Brodey on his first ever day of preschool 2 years ago. Look how small and cute!
And here he is today. A big Kindergartner. I could throw up just thinking about it. My baby is so big!!

These last two pictures were just funny to me. Brock was blocking his face from the camera.
Then he tired to block Lyla's face, she apparently thought he was doing a cool karate trick and tried to copy him. Those middle children. So funny.
Anyhow.. no pictures of Brodey's meet and greet. By that time the girls were melting down and my focus was on listening to words like "homework" and "memory verses" and "reading". Wow, he really is a big kid! No worries.. I don't care who is crying.. there will be LOTS of pictures of his first day.

Fun Tuesdays Continue

The very fun Carr family met us for some bowling after Logan got out of school this week. This was Brodey, Brock and Lyla's first time bowling. They had a blast.. loved the shoes. Several times on the way home they asked why they didn't bowl strikes like they can on the wii.
I didn't catch their scores.. mostly because we got there at 12:30, left around 2:30 and they STILL hadn't finished the first game. Wow. But they all had so much fun.

At one point I found myself nursing Lucy, standing up AND helping Lyla bowl. Whoa. Four kids.. I've got this.

Little Mama

Lyla loves babies. (Especially Lucy... when we hear her waking up over the monitor Lyla gets the best expression on her face and runs to get her.) She loves playing with her baby doll too... getting ready to play outside, with her baby, her purse and her cell phone. ha!

This video is kinda long and uneventful.. I just thought it was sweet. She didn't even realize I was watching her until near the end! Sweet sweet beans.

4 months

Four months ago this big baby fit in that TINY onesie?? Just 4 months ago??? How can it be??
Lucy Rae is 4 months old now. It getting harder to take her picture because as soon as you look at her she starts grinning. And grinning makes her kick her legs and squirm around giggling. So in her pictures she always has her mouth wide open and an appendage or two flailing around. She is SO fantastic! Don't you just want to squeeze her???

Tuesday O Fun

My very fun friend Ann called us up on Tuesday morning and asked if we were up for Centennial Olympic park... running through the rings and a picnic... fun!
Of course we both forgot our cameras, but I managed a few pics with my phone...

After our picnic and watching the water "show" we decided to walk down to the Children's Museum... wet bathing suits and all (for Ann and I anyways, luckily we had enough dry clothes for the kids). We quickly realized we just could not go any longer with out a camera (my phone conveniently ran out of memory space) and splurged on the $17.00 gift shop camera. Such an adjustment! No zoom, no "preview", waiting on the flash... 15 megapixel Nikon, oh how I missed you. Especially after I had to physically TAKE the camera to Walgreens and then WAIT for them to be transferred onto disc. Not great quality... but here they are:
Lyla and Brock having a BLAST painting the wall..

Lyla and THE shopping cart. She pitched her first ever fit over this thing. She loved it so much.. she wanted to take it everywhere. Unfortunately the shopping cart is not allowed to leave the "shopping area" and a Children's Museum employee had to come take it away from her when we entered the Fishing Area. Screaming fit. She got over it quickly enough, but she was sooo sad about loosing her precious shopping cart. Poor baby.
Brothers: Logan and Coops
Best picture from the camera: Coops taking Lyla on a date in the delivery truck.

Me and my four kids fishin. (plus one extra, that girl on the far right isn't mine.)
Last pic on the camera, the boys milking the cow. I'm upset about this because I KNOW we took a group shot after this (6 kids sitting on a tractor.. it was sooo cute) but it's not on the disc! So bummed.
And THEN (as if all that wasn't fun enough) we went back to Ann's house to hang out and have dinner! No naps, dirty, tired children... but the daddies were with us by then and we had a great time. We even played in the sprinkler and took baths before heading home! It was 9:30 by the time we got home.. everyone slept late and took long naps the next day! Fun fun day
